Today Friday the 10th of October marks World Mental Health Day, the most important mental health awareness day in the calendar year. The day seeks to bring mental health awareness to the forefront of everyone’s minds and squash any stigma that often still surrounds the topic of mental health.
This year the theme is focusing on ‘access to services– Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies’ recognising the extra mental health support victims of tragic events may require in the aftermath.
