National PTSD Awareness Day

PTSD Awareness Day is being held on Friday the 27th of June 2025 and sets out to raise awareness of the condition.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, often referred to as PTSD, is a mental health condition that is usually triggered by a distressing event such as a car crash or serious injury.

According to the NHS, PTSD is estimated to affect about 1 in every 3 people who have had a traumatic experience.

In some instances, symptoms of PTSD may not develop until years after the event which is why it is important to be aware of the symptoms and ways that we can support those suffering from the condition both in our personal and professional lives.
